The Architectural Review Board (ARB) consists of five members appointed by the Town Board.  The board meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 P.M. at Town Hall.  All meetings are subject to change due to holidays, weather, etc. 

The Architectural Review Board reviews all commercial buildings including their signs and new houses in subdivisions of three lots or more.  Their review is to prevent excessive similarity or dissimilarity in design. 

Presently the board is attempting to spread the colors and designs which were started by the Carmel/Mahopac revitalization project in downtown Mahopac up to Carmel and down to the Baldwin Place area.  Every commercial project on Route 6 that comes before the board is advised to take into consideration the colors and sign designs that exist in downtown Mahopac.
