SUMMER EMPLOYMENT/CAMP POSITIONS

CAMP COUNSELOR:
Must be 16 years of age by June 30th

CIT (Counselor-In-Training):
Must be 15 years of age by June 30th

VOLUNTEER:
Must be 13 or 14 years of age by June 30th AND entering 9th Grade in the fall of upcoming school year
Upon hire - $100 fee for first-year volunteer, or $50 fee for returning volunteer

WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD:
Must be 18 years of age
COPY OF current Waterfront Lifeguard Certification

We offer American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Training Courses for Certification:

Waterfront Lifeguard Training at Sycamore Park-must attend all 4 dates-Cost is $375.00 (residents)

UPON HIRE, the following documentation is required:

  • Signed Contract (provided to you by office upon notification of hire)
  • Permission Slip signed by Parent/Legal Guardian (up to age 17)
  • Retirement Questionnaire
  • Putnam County Application
  • COPY OF Working Papers (Note - please be sure to provide the correct working papers according to your age - 14/15 or 16/17 years old)
  • COPY OF Immunization Records (up to age 25)
  • COPY OF valid Driver's License (if applicable)
  • COPY OF Social Security Card
  • COPY OF Medical Insurance Card
  • Form W-4 (Tax Withholding)
  • Form I-9 (Alien Status)
