Senior Adult Activities
SENIOR CITIZEN DROP-IN MEETINGS
Meetings are held every Wednesday from 10am - 2pm at the Mahopac Firehouse on Route 6 in Mahopac from September through June. The Drop-In is open to all senior citizens (60 years and older) in the Town of Carmel (Carmel, Mahopac, Mahopac Falls). The meetings consist of arts and crafts, bingo, general socializing with occasional guest speakers. The group also has picnics, outings, trips and events throughout the year. DAY TRIP REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
Registration for Town trips are taken at the weekly Drop-In Meetings. A schedule of the trips, registration dates and other important information is handed out at the weekly meetings. All trips depart/return to the Mahopac Fire Department on Route 6 in Mahopac. Trips are for Senior Citizens who are current residents of Carmel/Mahopac. Non-residents pay an additional fee of $10 per person if space is available. If you have any questions, contact Carmela Spano, Senior Citizen Coordinator at Carmel Recreation (845) 628-7888.
2022 DAY TRIPS ARE AS FOLLOWS: AQUA TURF CLUB, WHITE PLAINS PERFORMING ARTS CTR, HUNTERDON HILLS PLAYHOUSE, MAGNANINI WINERY, KRUCKERS PICNIC GROVE, IVORYTON PLAYHOUSE THEATER, BETHEL WOODS/WOODSTOCK MUSEUM, MOHEGAN SUN CASINO.
